Acceptable Use Policy
Salon Guild CRM, part of the Opti Flo ecosystem
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This document is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a solicitor before publication.
This policy sets out what you can and can't do with Salon Guild CRM. It applies to salon owners (operators) and anyone they authorise to use the platform, including staff accounts. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
1. General principle
Use Salon Guild CRM only for legitimate salon, spa, or beauty business purposes: managing your bookings, clients, communications, and related business operations. Don't use it in any way that's unlawful, harmful to us or others, or that undermines the platform's security or availability.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use Salon Guild CRM to:
- Send unsolicited marketing messages (SMS or email) to anyone who hasn't opted in, or continue messaging anyone who has unsubscribed
- Send spam, phishing attempts, or deceptive communications of any kind
- Store or transmit content that's illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other workspaces, or other users' data
- Probe, scan, or test the platform's security without our prior written permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source code of the platform
- Use the platform to build a product that directly competes with Salon Guild CRM or the wider Opti Flo platform
- Resell or sub-license access to the platform without our agreement
- Upload malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt the platform or its users
- Use the AI Workforce features to generate content that's illegal, harmful, or that violates a third party's rights
- Exceed fair and reasonable use of any included allowance (such as AI credits or included communications) in a way that's clearly designed to circumvent our pricing rather than reflecting genuine business use
3. Client communications specifically
Because Salon Guild CRM's Communications features send SMS and email on your behalf to your own clients, you're directly responsible for:
- Only messaging clients who've given valid opt-in consent, as described in our SMS and Email Communications Policy
- Honouring unsubscribe and STOP requests immediately
- Keeping message content honest, accurate, and not misleading
- Not using the platform to send messages on behalf of a business you don't have the authority to represent
4. AI Workforce specifically
AI Workforce features are provided to support genuine salon operations, such as follow-up, onboarding, and administrative support. You're responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before it's sent to clients where appropriate, and for not configuring AI Workforce tasks to carry out anything that would itself breach this policy.
5. Consequences of breach
Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may warn you, suspend the relevant feature or account, or terminate your subscription, depending on the severity and nature of the breach, consistent with the suspension and termination terms in our Terms of Service. Serious breaches, particularly those risking harm to others or to the platform's security, may result in immediate suspension without prior warning.
6. Reporting a concern
If you become aware of a breach of this policy, whether by another user or affecting your own account, contact support@optiflo.app.
